The Clocks have been modified with papier-mâché, both as a surface on which to draw and three dimensionally behind the clock face. My clocks are like stage sets holding statements caught in time. It could be a feeling, as in 'Self Portrait With Glass', or the clock might contain the smile that we present to the world (but what's behind it?). Sometimes a slightly grim humour emerges.
