Working with resin and jewellery techniques I have developed ‘The Talisman’. The subject matter is rather confronting in that it is addressing a conversation with Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) which unfortunately is now part of my life. The pieces can be dark, and often have a grim humour embedded in them. They are shown as necklaces or brooches, a decorative light hearted presentation, which makes them just that little bit more uncomfortable. Below they are used as a part of an installation called 'Cholangiocarcinoma Helpline or The Acceptance of Demons the Loss of Fear'.
